I am still working on the Christmas Card Collection for my grandmother. This is the latest set I made for her. In the end, I made four cards, but I only photo graphed two.
Both types together
Close up of the front
Close of the Inside
Size: Vertical side fold A2 cards
Extra Details: I began these cards by stamping and coloring all the images on some white card stock. I used Prismacolor Pencils to color in the images. For the pine needles, I used a mini ink blending tool and the same cool ink to color the paper. I used the dies for the deer and the polar bears, but I fussy cut out everything else.
I used a gingham backdrops stamp and black ink to stamp the red panels for the front of each card. I die each red panel with a stitched rectangle die and created the opening with a stitched circle die. I used the same circle die to create the openings in some black card bases.
I adhered the red panel to each card base. Then I adhered the pine needles around the circle opening to look like wreath. Once the pine needles were dry, I added the critter peeking through the card.
I created white panels for the inside of each card. I stamped a sentiment in red ink and adhered the colored images to complete the scene.
Lastly, I added the sentiment banner. I die cut each banner from some white card stock and added the sentiment. I scored the banner twice on each side and folded the ends under to create some dimension. I used foam dots and liquid glue to adhere the banners.
