Extra Details:  I began by fussy cutting the 1, 2, and the sunglasses from the Illustrated Faith’s Basic Collection acetate sheets. Next, I created a grey frame and a blue panel from some of the Illustrated Faith’s Basic papers and some stitched rectangle dies. I traced the opening of the frame on the blue paper. I stamped my sentiment on the blue paper and add some tone on tone stamping around the edges. I backed the grey frame with acetate and added foam tape around the edges to create a shaker window. I added the sequins and silver glitter stars and adhered the frame to the blue paper.  To finish off the shaker box, I adhered the acetate pieces around the frame.

I create a yellow card base. I added some stamping that I embossed with WOW Cloud 9 embossing powder to the edges. I added a sentiment and one more pair of glasses on the inside of the card. Lastly, I adhered the shaker box to the card front.

Details

Size:  Vertical side fold A2 card

Extra Details:  I began this card with a panel of the pattern paper included in the kit. I used one of the small sentiments to stamp on the white areas of the chevrons. I added this paper to a grey card base.

I die cut the large “thanks” from grey card stock four times. I glued them all together. I die cut the same “thanks” one more time from some striped paper. I glue this to the stack of grey die cuts, but off set it just a little bit. Once the stack of “thanks” was dry, I adhered it to a small rectangle of velum and adhered that to the card front.

Details

Size:  Horizontal top fold A2 card

Extra Details:  I began with a card base made from water color paper. I stamped and colored the card front first. I used masking to hide the mouse behind the box. I traced a circle die to create the white highlight around the images. I used a water brush and Crayola Fine Line markers to color everything in. I used a grey ink to add the confetti to the colorful rays.

While the card front was drying I stamped and die cut all of the images for the inside of the card. I used the same markers and water brush to color everything in.

While those were drying, I die cut the stitched hillside pop up and another plain stitched hillside from a few shades of green card stock. I also die cut “celebrate” from holographic paper and plain card stock so I could layer them. I also die cut the posts from water color paper and colored them brown.

Next, I decorated the inside of the card. I used a puffy cloud die to trace with the blue marker. I used a water brush to move the color around and create a soft cloudy sky. Once the clouds were dry, I added the stamped confetti. I used the same markers to color them in.

Once the card base was dry, I began assembling the card. I adhered the green hills first. Then, I added the animals and balloons. The confetti was the last thing I adhered. I used glue dots, double sided tape, and liquid glue to adhere everything.

Extra Details: I began by stamping all of the images in Versa Fine ink. I clear embossed the images to speed up the drying process. I used Crayola Fine Line Markers and a water brush to water color all of the images.

I die cut a stitched rectangle from some water color paper. I used the same markers to splatter the water color panel. I colored the markers on my acrylic block and used a wet paint brush to flick the ink onto the panel.

I glued to some black fun foam to some black cardstock and die cut the letters for the word “monster.” I stamped the rest of the sentiment on the water color panel before adhering the letters for “monster.” I used one of the monster images for the letter “O.” I adhered the rest of the monsters around the sentiment. I used a white gel pen to add some details to the monsters and the die cut letters.

I created a dark blue card base. I adhered the water color panel to the front. I added a white liner to the inside. I stamped the liner with the School House Backdrops so that my kiddos would have lines to write on. I added two left over monsters to the inside and the card was complete.

Rooster Card Sets

July 28, 2017

I LOVE the Hero Arts’ Coloring Layering Rooster stamp set. My grandfather and great uncle both raised chickens and this set reminds me of them and the time I got to spend with each. I made two card sets; one for my grandmother and one for my great aunt.

Set One: I smudge some ink on one of the cards, so I added some clouds to cover it up.

I did create a mask for the feet so I put grass behind the rooster. I also used a variety of sentiments.

Be Who You Are

July 28, 2017

The Simon Says Stamp August 2017 Card Kit has arrived. It’s like my birthday at the end of every month. I started by cutting the patterned paper in to 5.25” x 4” rectangles, 6” x 2” strips, and 4” by ¾” strips. I find if I don’t do this, I will hoard the patterned papers and never use them. This is the first card I made with the kit.

Size:  Horizontal top fold A2 card

Extra Details: I began by creating a grey card base. Then I pulled over all of the 4” x ¾” strips. After playing with the strips for a while, I settled on this design. I adhered the strips flat to the card base. Then, I added a few of the puffy stickers from the kit.

Water Color Starfish

July 23, 2017

This is just a fun little card I made to enter in a few challenges this week.

Details

Size:  Vertical side fold A2 card

Extra Details:  I began this card with a panel of water color paper. I stamped the sentiment first and then covered the rest of the panel in starfish. I clear heat embossed everything.

I added some clean water to each starfish and dropped in some Distress Ink using a paint brush. I let the first layer of color dry before added a second layer for a deeper color. Once all the starfish were dried, I added alight wash of blue to the background.

While that dried, I worked on the card base. I choose a dark blue card base and stamped a wave pattern with white pigment ink. Once everything was dry, I adhered the water color panel to the card base with foam tape.

Plaid Ellie

July 18, 2017

I made this card to enter in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Use Plaid. I have been hoarding the few sheets of Lawn Fawn’s Perfectly Plaid Rainbow paper that I have, so this challenge was a great excuse to use some of it.

Extra Details:  I began this card by stamping the elephant image on some plaid paper and some white card stock. I carefully fussy cut out the elephants and layered them together. I used markers to color in the ears and feet.

I die cut a black circle frame using some stitched circle dies.  I cut a large white circle to layer under the black frame. I glued the two together and set them aside to dry. I also cut a banner from some white card stock. I stamped the small Hello across the banner.

I created a card base from some light blue card stock. I added a layer of blue plaid paper. I adhered the black frame towards the top of the plaid paper. I adhered the elephant with some foam tape and adhered the banner right underneath it.

Birthday Fox

May 1, 2017

My nephew’s second birthday is coming up soon, and foxes are his favorite animal. I have also been having way to much fun making my own patterned paper lately. Full Disclosure: Also, I meant to have this done to enter in a Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, but I didn’t get it done.
