You’re a Hoot

May 31, 2016

I tried “rocking and rolling” my stamps for this card. I first inked the stamp in one color of ink, and then rolled the edges of the stamp in a second color of ink. I loved the way the owls and leaves turned out with this technique. I will definitely be trying it again.

This card started out as a one layer card. However, I messed up the placement when stamping the sentiment. So, I just fussy cut everything out and adhered them flat to a die cut rectangle. I really like the way this card turned out.

Make Lemonade Shaker Card

May 30, 2016

I still have the some of the yellow sequin mix left from the Simon Says Stamp March 2016 card kit. So, I decided to make a shaker card.

Size:  Vertical side fold A2 card

Extra Details:  I stamped and colored the images on a die cut panel and carefully cut out the inside of the pitcher and glass. I lined the stamped panel up on some fun foam and carefully cute the same sized holes in the foam. I added a piece of clear plastic to the back of the stamped panel, added the foam and then added the sequins. I closed the shaker piece with a small piece of yellow cardstock. I popped the lemon up on a DIY foam square, added the shaker piece to a grey card base and was done.

Kitchen Goodies Bridal Shower Cards

May 21, 2016

It’s bridal shower season here. My mother in law is attending a bridal shower in a few weeks and needed a card. Bridal showers always remind me of kitchen gadgets, so I made two cards based on that idea. I find it’s always good to have an extra card just in case.

The layouts for both cards are the same. I saved the circles I cut from each panel to use on the opposite card.

Thankful Bunny

May 19, 2016

What to do when you are home with sick kids who want to do nothing but watch cartoons that you can’t stand? Make a lot of cards. I bought Lawn Fawn’s So Thankful and Critters in Costume stamp sets and had been looking at other cards using these stamp sets on Lawn Fawn’s blog. Someone else had combined the bunny in the pumpkin with the pumpkins from So Thankful and I fell in love with it. So I made similar card. I also really love the way my white pumpkin turned out.
