Pink Pinata

March 12, 2017

We have a friend who turns four at the end of the month. I couldn’t wait to use the new Year Seven stamp set for this card.

Size:  Vertical side fold A2 card

Extra Details:   Using a scrap of water color paper, I stamp the piñata and the candy. I used Distress Inks to water color the images. Once everything was dry, I cut the images out with the matching dies. I also cut a cross stitched rectangle form water color paper. I stamped the sentiment on the white panel. I also stamped the confetti on the panel using the same Distress Inks. I used a water brush to pull the color form the outline of the confetti pieces into the middle of the confetti pieces.

I created a pink card base and used a very light grey ink to stamp the candy and confetti images all over the card front. It is hard to see, but I love the added detail.

Then, I began to assemble the card. I adhered the piñata to the white panel with some foam tape. I used liquid glue to adhere the candy pieces. I also stamped a string in a grey ink at this point. I wanted to get the placement right, which is why I didn’t stamp the string before. Lastly, I adhered the panel to the card base.
