Every time I see the hot dog in the Let’s BBQ set, I start singing the Hot Dog Song from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. So I turned that idea into a card.
Front of the card
Inside of the card
Size: Vertical top fold A2 card
Extra Details: I began by stamping and water coloring the hot dog images on a scrap of water color paper. I used Distress Inks to water color. Once the ink was dry, I fussy cut the hot dogs out.
I die cut a two stitched rectangles from water color paper; one is the panel for the front of the card and one is the panel for the inside of the card. I stamped some grass at the bottom of the front panel for interest. Then I stamped the custom sentiment. I didn’t really measure the placement at all. Then, I adhered the hot dogs to the panel with foam tape.
For the inside panel, I stamped the sentiment in black ink. I stamped the smoke lines in a very light grey and again in a slightly darker grey so it could be seen. Then I adhered another hot dog.
I created a card base from red card stock. I stamped the hot dog image all around the edge in light grey ink. It’s a subtle detail but I love it. Lastly, I adhered the panels to the card base.
