Driver’s Test Congrats Card

March 12, 2017

My co-work’s son is taking his drivers’ test later this month. I made her two cards; one congratulations card and one better luck next time card.

Card Front

Card Inside: I haven’t decided if the list should include things like; grocery store, practices, gas station, dry cleaners, and picking your sister up. Or if it should be: safely, with your seat belt on, at or under the speed limit, radio not too loud and not texting.

Size:  Horizontal top fold A2 card

Extra Details:  I started with a die cut rectangle of white card stock as my base. I layered a Stitched Tree Border and a Stitched Hillside Border to the white card stock. I also adhered a strip of grey card stock to the white panel. I added some clouds to the sky using second generation stamping.

I created a slider panel using grey card stock, fun foam, Stitched Hillside Borders and my scissors. I also added a green hillside border to the slider panel. I stamped my sentiment on the small green hillside. I adhered the slider panel to the white panel using very strong double sided tape.

Then, I worked on my card base. I created a card base from white card stock. I stamped the sentiment and check boxes. I also added some little cars and a dotted line for added interest.

Lastly, I adhered the slider panel to the card base and the card was done.
