One of my co-workers is leaving for a new job opportunity. He was also my children’s coach, so we made him this card.
Size: Vertical top fold A2 card
Extra Details: I started by creating a card base from water color paper. I ink smooshed a background using three shade of orange Distress Ink.
While that was drying, I stamped and water colored the grater, cheese and heart. I used Distress Ink for the water color. Once those were dry, I fussy cut them out. I painted the edges with a black marker to hide any flaws.
Once the ink smooshed background was dry, I stamped some words onto it with a very light grey ink. I wanted the words to be subtle. I used masking to keep the words only in the inked area. I used black ink to stamp my main sentiment.
I added a resting spot for the cut images with some grey Distress Ink and adhered the images with glue dots.
I added the four sentiments to the inside of the card. These four sentiments pretty much cover how my kids feel about their coach’s new job.
Stamps Used: Lawn Fawn’s Best Pun Ever, A Good Apple, Sophie’s Sentiments, and Wish You Were Here
Ink: Versa Fine
Distress Inks in Abandoned Coral, Carved Pumpkin, Fossilized Amber, Hickory Smoke, Mustard Seed, and Spiced Marmalade
Hope you enjoyed the card
