Dancing Kraken

April 14, 2017

I have one mini action spring from the April 2017 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit that I have been waiting to use. As soon as I received the Happy Happy Happy stamp set, I knew I wanted to make a card with this sentiment: You Make Me Happy Dance. So I combined the two.

Size:  Vertical top fold A2 card

Extra Details: I started this card by creating a card base from water color paper. I used Vera Mark ink and white embossing powder to add the sentiment and fish. I used my heat tool to melt the embossing powder. I stamped the fish all the way to the edge of the card.

Using Crayola Fine Tip Markers, I traced around a rectangle die.  I used this line to contain my coloring. I was going for a spotlight coloring look.  I used the same markers and a water brush to add color to the background.

While the card base was drying, I stamped, colored, and die cut the kraken. I used more Crayola markers to color the kraken. I also clear embossed the whole kraken image so it would be shiny and would look more like the other fish.

Lastly, I adhered the kraken to the card base with a mini Action Wobble.

Stamps Used: Lawn Fawn’s Fintastic Friends, Happy Happy Happy, Lovable Legends, and Mermaid for You
