At the end of the school year, one of my students gave me beautiful card with an overlay made of think card stock. Being the person that I am, I turned that overlay into a stencil. I also made this background about a month ago, so I am not sure of the Distress Ink colors I used.
Size: Vertical side fold A2 card
Extra Details: I began with a white card base. I tape my DIY stencil and card base to my work surface. I used six colors of Distress Ink. I pounced the applicators instead of rubbing because of the delicate nature of the stencil. After I was finished, I removed the stencil and set the background aside to dry.
When I finally returned to my card, I knew I wanted to use the Hello Summer sentiment from Simon Says Stamp. I stamped it on a scrap of white card stock. I used the same Distress Inks (I think) to ink blend the background. I round the corners on the panel and adhered it with foam tape.
Stamps Used: Simon Says Stamp’s Sea You Soon
Ink: Versa Fine
Distress Inks in pinks, reds, oranges, and yellows
Hope you enjoyed the card
