Action Astronaut

August 2, 2017

I made this background almost a month ago, when I was doing a lot of ink smooshing. This was the piece of water color paper that I smooshed all of the extra ink on and let dry. Today, I finally figured out which images I wanted to put on this background

Size:  Horizontal side fold A2 card

Extra Details:  I began this card with a very inky piece of water color paper. I had been using it as a place to smoosh the left over ink form other projects. I layered some Black Soot Distress Ink over the top both by ink smooshing and ink blending. Once the black ink was all dry, I added some more color with Distress Inks and a Mini Foam Blending Tool. Then I set the back ground aside for a looooong time.

I stamped the images in black ink and clear embossed them. Then I used Crayola Fine Line markers to water color in the images. Once dry, I fussy cut everything out, leaving a small white border.

I used silver embossing powder and Versa Mark ink to add the sentiment and stars to the inked background. I rounded the corners of the ink piece before adhering it to a black card base. I used glue dots to adhere the space ship, Earth, and Moon to the panel. I adhere a small piece of twine from my stash to the ship of the astronaut. I adhered the astronaut with a mini action spring.

Stamps Used: Lawn Fawn’s Out of the World, Lucky Stars, and Starry Backdrops

Ink: Versa Fine

Versa Mark

Distress Inks in Black Soot, Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry, Mermaid Lagoon, and Mowed Lawn

Hope you enjoyed the card
