Welcome Banner

September 3, 2017

I made this banner for my classroom this year.

Size:  4 by 5.5 inch rectangles

Extra Details:  I began this banner by cutting 4 inch by 5.5 inch rectangles from some light blue and pale yellow card stock. I used the WE R Memory Keepers Banner Punch Board to create the banner shapes and punch the holes.

I used some stitched circle dies to cut a circle in 7 of the blue rectangles. I also cut the letters for some red cardstock. I adhered the yellow and blue banners with double stick tape only at the top. I glued the letters in the middle of the die cut circles.

To decorate the banner pieces, I added some green hills cut with a stitched hillside banner. I also add some stitched tree borders cut from brown cardstock. The leaves were cut from green cardstock and I added some red dots for apples.

Next, I stamped and colored a number of images. I used my Prismacolor pencils to color everything in. Then I fussy cut them out and painted the edges black. I adhered them to the banner.

I strung the banners on white and blue ribbon and hung it in my classroom.
