My kiddos were given a sprinkler toy in the shape of an octopus. So we made a thank you card with an octopus on it.
Size: Horizontal top fold A2 card
Extra Details: I began this card by stamping the images on some water color paper. I used my distress inks to water color the images in. I also stamped the water splashes in an aqua ink. Once the images were dry I fussy cut everything out. I cut right on the line for the octopi and squirrels. I painted those edges black to hide any cutting errors. I left a white border on the water splashes because they are just so small. I also created a water color scripty thanks using the same inks.
Next, I created a blue card base. I used a wave stamp and some white ink to create a background for the octopus. I added the die cut thanks and the octopus on an action wobble.
I wanted the inside to have dimension also, so I die cut a stitched hillside pop up from green paper. I added a white liner to the lower portion card base to write on. I added the hill on top of the line. I adhered the octopus, squirrels, and water splashes.
Finally, I added the white clouds. I should have added them first but I didn’t realize that I needed them till the end.
