Pizza Party Thank You Cards

January 27, 2016

When I updated my blog in February 2016, I lost all the posting I had already done. I am doing my best to put the posts back up but I do not remember all the details for each card.  Unfortunately, the details for this project may be a bit scarce.

My daughter is having a “Make Your Own Pizza” Party at our local pizzeria for her birthday. Each child will get to make and eat their own pizza while at the party.

These are the Thank You cards that my daughter sent out after her party.

Details

Size:  Vertical side fold A2 card

Extra Details:  I had a lot of odd shaped pieces of card stock left over from making the pillow boxes for the favors and other party decorations that I wanted to use. The actual card base is 4.5 x 5”. I added the dry embossed colored card stock to bottom edge to bring it to a standard A2 size card. I used a Darice Stars embossing folder on the colored pieces. I added a white panel to the front of the card with the stamped sentiment and large pizza. There is also a white panel on the inside that my daughter used to write her thank you message on. Lastly, we added a slice of pizza to the card front with some foam squares.

I actually colored this card with my kiddos’ Crayola markers. My daughter colored some of the Thank You cards but not this one.

Pizza Party Game

January 27, 2016

When I updated my blog in February 2016, I lost all the posting I had already done. I am doing my best to put the posts back up but I do not remember all the details for each card.  Unfortunately, the details for this project may be a bit scarce.

My daughter is having a “Make Your Own Pizza” Party at our local pizzeria for her birthday. Each child will get to make and eat their own pizza while at the party. We needed something for the kids to do while waiting for the pizza’s to cook. I made a Pin the Topping on the Pizza Game.

The kids and I drew a large circle on some poster board, added the crust line and colored the whole thing with crayons. It kept the kiddos busy for quite a while. Lastly, I had the whole thing laminated so that we could easily remove the “toppings.”

The “toppings” were cut from colored cardstock using Lawn Fawn’s Pizza My Heart and Tag You’re It Dies. I only made olives and pepperoni because they were the easiest and the birthday girl’s favorites. I used masking tape to have the toppings stick to the big pizza.

I also made an eye mask with a scrap of the apron material and some elastic.

Hope you enjoyed.

Bridal Shower Floral Banner

When I updated my blog in February 2016, I lost all the posting I had already done. I am doing my best to put the posts back up but I do not remember all the details for each card.  Unfortunately, the details for this project may be a bit scarce.

This banner is for the bridal shower that started the whole crazy stamping thing. After I made all the invitations and thank you cards, I knew I wanted the decorations to match as well. I started with this banner.

Details

Extra Details: I started by cutting the scalloped circles from some patterned paper on my Cricut machine. I also cut the white letters with my Cricut machine. I created each panel for the banner out of white card stock. I adhered the scalloped circles and letters to the panels. I stamped the floral images on each panel. I tried to make them look random and organic without making myself crazy. I also added a few bees for interest. After all the ink was dry, I hole punched the top corners and used white ribbon to attach them all together.

These nametags are for the bridal shower that started the whole crazy stamping thing. After I made all the invitations and thank you cards, I knew I wanted the decorations to match as well. I also made nametags for the important people who would be at the shower.

Extra Details: I started by cutting the scalloped circles from some patterned paper. I free handed a flower design for these. I cut the white circles on my Cricut machine. I added the lettering first in black ink. I filled in the empty spaces with florals that matched all of the other decorations. I adhered the white circles to pieces of patterned paper. I used a large safety pin on some duct tape so that people could wear them at the shower.

Kathy’s Bridal Shower Invitations

May 4, 2015

When I updated my blog in February 2016, I lost all the posting I had already done. I am doing my best to put the posts back up but I do not remember all the details for each card.  Unfortunately, the details for this project may be a bit scarce.

This is the card that started all my card making craziness. I was asked to be the Maid of Honor in my friend, Kathy’s wedding. Part of being Maid of Honor is helping to throw the bridal shower. I was looking around for ideas and happened on some card making and stamping videos on YouTube and was hooked. I ordered a few stamp sets and inks and have been hooked every since.

The back of the card. The groom is a bee keeper and I wanted to include a bee in the design.

Details

Size: Vertical top fold A2 card

Extra Details:  I started by creating the inside of the card. I typed all of the information on Word and printed it on white cardstock. I then cut the sheets into card bases. Then the fun of stamping began. I started by stamping the sentiment in the center first. I added the florals to the bottom edge. I also put a few floral on the inside of the card, but did not get a picture. I stamped and colored the bee image and was done.

Kathy’e Bridal Shower Thank You Cards

When I updated my blog in February 2016, I lost all the posting I had already done. I am doing my best to put the posts back up but I do not remember all the details for each card.  Unfortunately, the details for this project may be a bit scarce.

After I made all the invitations for Kathy’s bridal shower, I started to think about the gift I wanted to give her. After thinking for some time, I thought about thank you cards. A set of matching thank you cards would be the perfect finish to her bridal shower.

Kathy’s Bridal Shower Thank You Cards Box

May 4, 2015

When I updated my blog in February 2016, I lost all the posting I had already done. I am doing my best to put the posts back up but I do not remember all the details for each card.  Unfortunately, the details for this project may be a bit scarce.

After creating all the thank you cards for Kathy’s bridal shower, I needed to find a way to package them. I made this simple box and added a few tags as embellishments.

Size: 4.5 x 5.75 x 1” box

Extra Details:  My daughter helped me stamp all the flower images on the box. I found tutorial on line that showed me how to make a box using my Martha Stewart Mini Score Board. After the box was put together, I made the tags for the front. I fussy cut them out and used a white ribbon to tie everything together.
