I love Lawn Fawn’s Let’s Bokeh stamp set. I am having so much fun finding new and different ways to use it. Here is another set of Christmas tags I made.

Details

Extra Details: I began these tags with a half sheet of white card stock. I used the large solid circles to create a pattern with lots of green inks. I used first and second generation stamping. I used one of the outline circles to add some gold embossed circles to the pattern.

Then, I die cut the paper into tags. I was able to get five tags from the half sheet of cardstock. While my die cut machine was out, I also die cut “Merry” from some green glitter paper.

I adhered the “merry”s to the tags. To finish the sentiment, I gold heat embossed the work Christmas on small strop of white card stock and adhered it under the “merry.”

Lastly, I added some green cording to the top of the tags.

Christmas Tags 3.8: Postcard Tags

November 23, 2017

I love making scenes with all of the Lawn Fawn stamps that I own. For Christmas this year, I created a few postcard tags with holiday scenes on the front. I used a lot of different stamp sets and coloring mediums. I love the way they all turned out.

Extra Details: I began these tags by die cutting a small stitched rectangle from some water color paper. I was able to create 8 stitched rectangles from one sheet of water color paper. Next, I stamped the post card, stamp and cancellation mark on the back of each rectangle.

Then, the fun part began. I treated each postcard as its own scene. I stamped, colored, and added the finishing details to each tag as I made them. I used masking on a number of the tags.

I made a welcome banner for my classroom using the Stitched Ornament dies and some glitter paper. I couldn’t bear to throw out the scraps of the glitter paper, so I turned them into spinner tags.

Details

Size:  4.25 by 2.75 inches

Extra Details:  I began by cutting the glitter paper into rectangles. I die cut each glitter rectangle with a stitched ornament die. I used the positive piece for another project and keep the negative pieces for these tags. I created white rectangles with die cuts in the exact same way.

While I had my die cut machine out, I die cut some Tiny Tags from four color of card stock that coordinated with the glitter papers. I also cut the ornament toppers from some silver glitter card stock.

I stamped the sentiments on the Tiny Tags.  I adhered two Tiny Tags around a piece of white thread. I layered the thread between the layers of glitter paper and white card stock.

For added stability, I folded a small strip of colored card stock over the top and bottom of the tags. Lastly, I punched a hole and added some black twine.

Here is another set of tags featuring Lawn Fawn’s Let Bokeh stamp set.

Details

Extra Details:  I began these tags with a half sheet of white card stock. I used the solid circle stamps to create a pattern along the bottom edge of the half sheet of card stock. I overlapped the larger circles; then just stacked the smaller circles on the top. I used 5 different shade of pink ink.

I stamped some snowflakes in the circles with a light grey ink. Then, I cut out the tags using a die. I also die cut the small snowflake tags from some grey card stock. I stamped a sentiment on the grey snowflakes and tied the two tags together with white twine.

I love Lawn Fawn’s Let’s Bokeh stamp set. There are so many ways to use it.

Details

Extra Details: I began these tags with a half sheet of white card stock. I used the Let’s Bokeh stamp set to stamp a circle pattern on the panel. Once the stamping was complete, I die cut 5 tags. I also added some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen to the red circles for some sparkle.

To finish the tags, I die cut some smaller ornaments from some red card stock. I cut the toppers form some grey card stock. I glued the toppers to the red ornaments.   I stamped the sentiment in black ink. I added some more Wink of Stella to the red ornaments.

Lastly, I tied the two tags together with black twine.

Christmas Tags 3.4

November 12, 2017

I am slightly obsessed with all of the new ink color I have just purchased. There are so many and they are all so pretty. To help decide which colors to use, I Googled “vintage Christmas fabric” to find the color scheme for these tags.

037

Details

Extra Details: I began these tags with a half sheet of white card stock. Using the MISTI, I created a pattern of the trees. Then I cut 5 tags from the half sheet of paper.

I also cut 5 smaller tags from some more white card stock. I stamped the tree again on the bottom of the small tag and added a small grey star. I also add in the sentiment in the same grey ink.

As I layered the tags together, I felt the top tag was too plain. I decided to add a re-enforcer that I stamped with the same tree stamp and ink color. I also dragged the edges of the smaller tag in the grey ink.

I think these tags turned out great.

November 12, 2017

My daughter’s swim season just ended this morning, so I still have all things water on the brain. I made these sets of tags with the Mermaid for You Stamp set.

038

Details

Extra Details: I began these tags with a half sheet of smooth white card stock. I used Distress Inks in Chipped Sapphire and Blueprint Sketch to add the color to the paper. I started by ink blending, but couldn’t get the color dark enough, so I used the ink pads directly on the paper. I used the ink blending tools after applying the ink pad to even things out a bit. That technique worked really well.

After the Distress Ink dried, I added a bokeh effect using Lawn Fawn’s Yeti White Pigment Ink and the Let’s Bokeh stamp set. I really love how the white ink stands out against the dark ink colors.

Once the white pigment ink was dry, I used a tag die to cut out 5 tags and five re-enforcers. I also cut the smaller tag from some velum.

I stamped and colored the mermaid images and hats on a scrap of white card stock. I used colored pencils to color everything in. I fussy cut out each of the images and painted the edges black with a black marker. I adhered the hats to the mermaids with some liquid glue. I used foam tape to adhere the images to the tags.

I silver embossed a sentiment on the velum tags and added the re-enforcers. I am out of twine at the moment, so I could tie the two tags together.
