Mug Hugs

February 21, 2016

I have seen a number of other card makers make beautiful cards with images layout in a grid pattern. I am not good at making a grid without having a guideline to follow. For this card, I used my scoreboard to create a grid for me to follow. I, also, tired some no line coloring on these images.

Olive You

February 16, 2016

When I updated my blog in February 2016, I lost all the posting I had already done. I am doing my best to put the posts back up but I do not remember all the details for each card.  Unfortunately, the details for this project may be a bit scarce.

We love olives in this house; any color, any kind. Also, my kiddos love the Olive You knock knock joke. So this card makes all of us smile for so many reasons.

Extra Details:  I started by die cutting a whole lot of hole reinforcers from black cardstock. I stamped the sentiment on some white cardstock, adhered all of the black “olives.” It still looked a little empty so I added some stamped olives as well. I also put a stamped olive on the O’s in the sentiment. I cut a thin strip of red card stock and adhered that to the back of the white panel. I put the whole thing on a dark grey card base. I felt that this card still needed something, so I added red glitter glue. I am not sure that was the best choice but I still like the way this card turned out.

I had some left over heart die cuts that I wanted to use. They reminded me of fancy chocolates (Valentine’s was only a few days ago, I still had chocolate on the brain,)

You + Me = Friendship

February 15, 2016

When I updated my blog in February 2016, I lost all the posting I had already done. I am doing my best to put the posts back up but I do not remember all the details for each card.  Unfortunately, the details for this project may be a bit scarce.

I was so busy with kiddos and work that I make as many Valentine’s Day cards as I would have liked. So while, we were off for Winter Break, I made a bunch of cards that have a very Valentine’s Day feel without actually saying Happy Valentine’s Day. This card is for my friend who is an engineer and her family.

My kiddos got some Valentine themed robot stickers from their grandmother. Because they are my children, they wanted to make cards with the stickers. They gave these cards to their father for Valentine’s Day.
