Stinkin’ Cute Fairy

May 19, 2016

What to do when you are home with sick kids who want to do nothing but watch cartoons that you can’t stand? Make a lot of cards. The kiddos and I love coloring all sorts of stamped images. We stamp pages full of all sorts of different images and color them in. After I finish coloring all my images I cut them out and save them. So now, I have a smallish box filled with colored and cut out images. I made a whole bunch of cards today using these images.

I love these fairies and all their little accessories so much. So I put a few of my favorites on one card today. The images stamped on the card base are from Stinkin’ Cute stamp set. I already had them all on a block for a different card and the images matched the feel of this card, so I used them again.

Stinkin’ Cute

May 19, 2016

What to do when you are home with sick kids who want to do nothing but watch cartoons that you can’t stand? Make a lot of cards.

This little skunk really is Stinkin’ Cute. I made a cute little scene using some leftovers from the Simon Says Stamp March 2016 Card Kit. The white line inside the circle was a much better idea in my head then on the card. I do need to find a better white gel pen though.

What to do when you are home with sick kids who want to do nothing but watch cartoons that you can’t stand? Make a lot of cards.

I love the veggies in Lawn Fawn’s Rooting for You stamp set. I used Distress Ink to stamp and watercolor them in. This technique always gives me beautiful results for this stamp set. I used a background stamp form Lawn Fawn’s Interlocking Backdrops stamp set to give my card base some interest.

Veggie Diorama card

May 19, 2016

The winner for the Lawnscaping Challenge #129 made a very cool diorama card, which inspired me to try my hand at a diorama card as well. I love the results. I got the directions from https://littlegreenbox.wordpress.com/2012/11/07/pop-up-diorama-tutorial/. I found the tutorial very easy to follow. My favorite part is that this card will still fit in a regular envelope. I did adjust the measurement to fit the dies that I own.

School is ending soon and my kiddos have some awesome teachers this year. Here is the Thank You card that I made this year. I ended up making 7 of these cards for my kiddos’ teachers and teacher aides. The layout and sentiment is the same for all the cards. The books and calculators are colored differently on each card.

The apple and the paper airplane are popped up on some DIY foam squares. Everything else is adhered flat to the card. Here is the inside of the card.
