Hey There, Baby Boy

June 1, 2016

I made this baby card for a new baby boy.

Details

Size:  Vertical side fold A2 card

Extra Details:  I ink blended both the rectangle piece and the center panel with Distress Inks. While the Distress inks where still a bit wet, I stamped a background stamp in white pigment ink over the top. I was hoping it would be more visible when I did it. But the effect that was created is really cool. I think I will try this again. I popped the center panel up on fun foam.

Stamps Used: Lawn Fawn’s Into the Woods, Mom + Me, Chevron Backdrops, and Sophie’s Sentiments

Dies Used: Lawn Fawn’s Small Stitched Rectangles. The center piece was created with my Cricut machine

Ink: Distress Inks in Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass, Twisted Citron, and Mowed Lawn

My daughter graduates from Kindergarten this year. This is the very sparkly card I made just for her, as she loves anything that sparkles. Blue and gold are her schools colors and she wears pink glasses,

Kitchen Goodies Bridal Shower Cards

May 21, 2016

It’s bridal shower season here. My mother in law is attending a bridal shower in a few weeks and needed a card. Bridal showers always remind me of kitchen gadgets, so I made two cards based on that idea. I find it’s always good to have an extra card just in case.

The layouts for both cards are the same. I saved the circles I cut from each panel to use on the opposite card.

Foxy Baby Card

April 23, 2016

Our neighbors are expecting their first baby. I just love the sweet animals from the Mom + Me set. They make the cutest little family. We gave the parents – to – be a gift card, so instead of a regular card, I made a rip open card with Essentials by Ellen’s Zipper Panel Die.

Stinkin’ Cute Baby Girl Skunk

February 28, 2016

Friends of ours welcomed their second daughter into the world a few days ago. The baby’s middle name is Rose, so I couldn’t resist adding some roses to this card design.

Bride’s Maid’s Thank You Cards

July 13, 2015

When I updated my blog in February 2016, I lost all the posting I had already done. I am doing my best to put the posts back up but I do not remember all the details for each card.  Unfortunately, the details for this project may be a bit scarce.

I was the maid of honor in a wedding over the weekend. The other bridesmaids were awesome and did a lot of the work. I wanted to thank them so I made a set of thank you cards. I only needed four cards, but made six just in case. I used a different sentiment on the extra cards.

Details

Size:  A2 card

Extra Details: I started by creating the white panels. I stamped the dresses and water colored them in colors to match the bride’s maids’ dresses. I also stamped the flowers on a separate piece of paper and water colored those in. I fussy cut out the flowers and adhered them to the dresses. Once they were dry, I stamped the sentiments. I adhered the water color panel to a slightly larger layer of patterned paper. I used white card bases for all the cards. I even added a small gemstone to the center of each flower.

I also stamped the dress in a purple ink on the inside of the card to dress it up.

Stamps Used: Lawn Fawn’s Happily Ever After and Sophie’s Sentiments

A family friend is welcoming a baby boy into their family soon. This is the card I made for them. I got the idea for the shaped card from Sandy Allnock’s YouTube channel.

I made this for a friend who was getting married. I love the fairy tale feel to the sentiment.

Bridal Shower Floral Banner

June 13, 2015

When I updated my blog in February 2016, I lost all the posting I had already done. I am doing my best to put the posts back up but I do not remember all the details for each card.  Unfortunately, the details for this project may be a bit scarce.

This banner is for the bridal shower that started the whole crazy stamping thing. After I made all the invitations and thank you cards, I knew I wanted the decorations to match as well. I started with this banner.

Details

Extra Details: I started by cutting the scalloped circles from some patterned paper on my Cricut machine. I also cut the white letters with my Cricut machine. I created each panel for the banner out of white card stock. I adhered the scalloped circles and letters to the panels. I stamped the floral images on each panel. I tried to make them look random and organic without making myself crazy. I also added a few bees for interest. After all the ink was dry, I hole punched the top corners and used white ribbon to attach them all together.

Stamps Used: Lawn Fawn’s Bee Mine and Penelope’s Blossoms

Ink: Distress Ink in Dusty Concord

Knotty Wedding Card

June 8, 2015

When I updated my blog in February 2016, I lost all the posting I had already done. I am doing my best to put the posts back up but I do not remember all the details for each card.  Unfortunately, the details for this project may be a bit scarce.

This is a wedding card I made. Lawn Fawn had just release the Happy Wedding stamp set. I loved the knot stamp in that set, but didn’t really want to buy the whole set just for that. So I used the twine that Lawn Fawn sends with your order to recreate the same look.

Details

Size:  Vertical top fold A2 card

Extra Details:  I dipped the twine in tacky glue to help it hold it’s shape better. The glue also adhered the twine to it’s panel. I very carefully inked two sentiments from Happily Ever After to create the greeting on the inside of the card.

Stamps Used: Lawn Fawn’s Happily Ever After and Penelope’s Blossoms

Paper: The patterned paper is a freebie from Lawn Fawn. It was included in my order.
