Details

Size:  Horizontal top fold A2 card

Extra Details:  I stamped the sentiments and masked them off with Post It tape. Then, I blended Distress Inks on to the background. I added water flicks for some texture. After that had dried, I added the rest of the stamping. I used the single line from School House Backdrops as the wire and the backside of one of the trees form Winter Wonderland as the pole. To finish the card, I popped the whole panel up on some fun foam and adhered it to a black card base.

Mama Elephant’s Winter Wonderland

Dies Used: Lawn Fawn’s Small Stitched Rectangles

Kraken Spinner Card

June 4, 2016

This is a card I made for my son on his last day of pre-K. I love the o-fish-ally awesome sentiment from the Dad + Me stamp set and have so many ideas about how to combine it with other stamp sets.

Size:  Vertical side fold 4.25 X 5.75 card

Extra Details:  I trimmed the card base down by ½ an inch to make room for the circle to stick out. I attached the circle to the card base with a brad which allows it to spin. I popped the bottom blue layer up on fun foam leaving room for the circle to spin. I covered the brad with the kraken head to hide it. I colored everything with Crayola markers. I put the sentiment on slightly different shade of blue card stock to help it stand out. I added white stitching detail with a white gel pen.

Dies Used: Lawn Fawn’s Lovable Legends

I <3 Fall Deer

June 3, 2016

I know it’s the wrong season, but I saw a YouTube video in which Catherine Pooler wove strips of patterned paper together to make a card. I wanted to try it with the Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather paper pack.

June 1, 2016

I made this baby card for a new baby boy.

Details

Size:  Vertical side fold A2 card

Extra Details:  I ink blended both the rectangle piece and the center panel with Distress Inks. While the Distress inks where still a bit wet, I stamped a background stamp in white pigment ink over the top. I was hoping it would be more visible when I did it. But the effect that was created is really cool. I think I will try this again. I popped the center panel up on fun foam.

Stamps Used: Lawn Fawn’s Into the Woods, Mom + Me, Chevron Backdrops, and Sophie’s Sentiments

Dies Used: Lawn Fawn’s Small Stitched Rectangles. The center piece was created with my Cricut machine

Ink: Distress Inks in Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass, Twisted Citron, and Mowed Lawn
