Kitchen Goodies Bridal Shower Cards

May 21, 2016

It’s bridal shower season here. My mother in law is attending a bridal shower in a few weeks and needed a card. Bridal showers always remind me of kitchen gadgets, so I made two cards based on that idea. I find it’s always good to have an extra card just in case.

The layouts for both cards are the same. I saved the circles I cut from each panel to use on the opposite card.

Tank You Card Set

May 21, 2016

I always need Thank You cards. So today, I created a quick set using Lawn Fawn’s Fintastic Friends. I made six cards total. The design is the same for each card, but three have the seaweed and three have the castle.

Globe Card

May 19, 2016

I have a close friend who lives almost half way around the world from me. The kiddos and I try to send her and her family cards at least once a month.  So, when I finally bought the Wish You Were Here stamp set, I had a million card ideas for that friend.

Thankful Bunny

May 19, 2016

What to do when you are home with sick kids who want to do nothing but watch cartoons that you can’t stand? Make a lot of cards. I bought Lawn Fawn’s So Thankful and Critters in Costume stamp sets and had been looking at other cards using these stamp sets on Lawn Fawn’s blog. Someone else had combined the bunny in the pumpkin with the pumpkins from So Thankful and I fell in love with it. So I made similar card. I also really love the way my white pumpkin turned out.

Stinkin’ Cute Fairy

May 19, 2016

What to do when you are home with sick kids who want to do nothing but watch cartoons that you can’t stand? Make a lot of cards. The kiddos and I love coloring all sorts of stamped images. We stamp pages full of all sorts of different images and color them in. After I finish coloring all my images I cut them out and save them. So now, I have a smallish box filled with colored and cut out images. I made a whole bunch of cards today using these images.

I love these fairies and all their little accessories so much. So I put a few of my favorites on one card today. The images stamped on the card base are from Stinkin’ Cute stamp set. I already had them all on a block for a different card and the images matched the feel of this card, so I used them again.

Stinkin’ Cute

May 19, 2016

What to do when you are home with sick kids who want to do nothing but watch cartoons that you can’t stand? Make a lot of cards.

This little skunk really is Stinkin’ Cute. I made a cute little scene using some leftovers from the Simon Says Stamp March 2016 Card Kit. The white line inside the circle was a much better idea in my head then on the card. I do need to find a better white gel pen though.

Smiley Veggies

May 19, 2016

What to do when you are home with sick kids who want to do nothing but watch cartoons that you can’t stand? Make a lot of cards.

I love the veggies in Lawn Fawn’s Rooting for You stamp set. I used Distress Ink to stamp and watercolor them in. This technique always gives me beautiful results for this stamp set. I used a background stamp form Lawn Fawn’s Interlocking Backdrops stamp set to give my card base some interest.

Veggie Diorama card

May 19, 2016

The winner for the Lawnscaping Challenge #129 made a very cool diorama card, which inspired me to try my hand at a diorama card as well. I love the results. I got the directions from https://littlegreenbox.wordpress.com/2012/11/07/pop-up-diorama-tutorial/. I found the tutorial very easy to follow. My favorite part is that this card will still fit in a regular envelope. I did adjust the measurement to fit the dies that I own.
