Pink Sympathy Card

March 5, 2016

I really struggle with sympathy cards. I made this one for the family members of a woman who loved pink.

Size: Vertical side fold A2 card

Extra Details:  I stamped the floral images first, and then misted them with water to help soften the look. After that had dried, I ink blended some pink Distress ink on top for more interest. Lastly, I added self adhesive gem stones to some of the flowers.

Stamps Used: Lawn Fawn’s Penelope’s Blossoms and Scripty Sayings

Paper: Water color paper

Simon Says Stamp Slate card stock

Ink: Distress Inks in Abandoned Coral, Cracked Pistachio, and Picked Raspberry

Thanks a Bunch Veggies

March 5, 2016

I do not own a lot of colored inks, but I do own quite a few of the Distress Inks. When, I got the Rooting for You stamp set, I knew I would be using my Distress Inks and smoothing them out with water. I think it looks awesome.

Extra Details:  I stamped the veggies with Distress Inks and then moved the ink around with a damp paint brush. After the first color was dry, I stamped the detail images in another color of Distress Ink. I created my own sentiment with an alphabet stamp set in white pigment ink and popped it up on DIY foam squares.

Stamps Used: Lawn Fawn’s Rooting for You and Riley’s ABCs

Paper: Simon Says Stamp’s Slate cardstock

Ink: Lawn Fawn’s Yeti White Pigment Ink

Extra Details:  I ink blended on a panel of water color paper, and then flicked on some water to give it some texture. I stamped the lamppost, sentiment and bench directly on the water color panel. I adhered the fussy cut mouse flat to the panel. I trimmed the panel a bit and added it to a grey card base.

Hey There Bee

February 28, 2016

I have been having fun using Kraft card stock for card bases lately. I like adding a different colored panel to really highlight the sentiment or images I used.

February 28, 2016

I made this encouragement card for my nephew. When, I saw the veggies I could resist adding a bunny to the garden scene as well.

Friends of ours welcomed their second daughter into the world a few days ago. The baby’s middle name is Rose, so I couldn’t resist adding some roses to this card design.
