One Stamp Set, Too Much Fun

May 4, 2015

When I updated my blog in February 2016, I lost all the posting I had already done. I am doing my best to put the posts back up but I do not remember all the details for each card.  Unfortunately, the details for this project may be a bit scarce.

I just got the Baked with Love stamp set and wanted to use all the images. I also just got a bunch of Distress Inks and wanted to try water coloring with them. I had so much fun playing with my new supplies.

The finished cards. Some are upside down in the picture because I wanted you to be able to see the whole sheet and the finished cards in the same picture.

Details

Size:  Vertical side fold A4 card

Extra Details:  I started by stamping a full sheet of water color paper. Using Distress Inks, I water colored all the images in. Once that was dry, I cut the piece up into 12 equal pieces. I went for a smaller card size because I couldn’t bear to throw away any of this sheet. I adhered the water colored pieces to the card bases, added a sentiment to each and was done.

Stamps Used: Lawn Fawn’s Bake Me a Cake, Baked with Love, Milk and Cookies and Sophie’s Sentiments

Inks: Versa Fine

Distress Inks (I don’t remember which ones)

Hope you enjoyed the card

Kathy’s Bridal Shower Invitations

May 4, 2015

When I updated my blog in February 2016, I lost all the posting I had already done. I am doing my best to put the posts back up but I do not remember all the details for each card.  Unfortunately, the details for this project may be a bit scarce.

This is the card that started all my card making craziness. I was asked to be the Maid of Honor in my friend, Kathy’s wedding. Part of being Maid of Honor is helping to throw the bridal shower. I was looking around for ideas and happened on some card making and stamping videos on YouTube and was hooked. I ordered a few stamp sets and inks and have been hooked every since.

The back of the card. The groom is a bee keeper and I wanted to include a bee in the design.

Details

Size: Vertical top fold A2 card

Extra Details:  I started by creating the inside of the card. I typed all of the information on Word and printed it on white cardstock. I then cut the sheets into card bases. Then the fun of stamping began. I started by stamping the sentiment in the center first. I added the florals to the bottom edge. I also put a few floral on the inside of the card, but did not get a picture. I stamped and colored the bee image and was done.

Kathy’e Bridal Shower Thank You Cards

May 4, 2015

When I updated my blog in February 2016, I lost all the posting I had already done. I am doing my best to put the posts back up but I do not remember all the details for each card.  Unfortunately, the details for this project may be a bit scarce.

After I made all the invitations for Kathy’s bridal shower, I started to think about the gift I wanted to give her. After thinking for some time, I thought about thank you cards. A set of matching thank you cards would be the perfect finish to her bridal shower.
