Christmas Tags 2.1

July 27, 2016

I made more Christmas tags today. I love my Lawn Fawn Say Cheese die and wanted to use it to make some tags. I also had fun using as many stamp sets as possible on these tags.

Details

Extra Details:  I started by cutting the Say Cheese die as many times as I could from a sheet of water color paper. I stamped the images on the same squares and colored them with my kids Crayola markers. I layered both pieces on a slightly smaller piece of kraft card stock. I also sandwiched a small loop of kraft paper between the layers to hold the ribbon.

Stamps Used: Lawn Fawn’s Critters in Costume, Deck the Halls, Happy Trails, Lovable Legends, Love You A Latte, Mermaid for You, Oh Snap, Ready Set Snow, Winter Gifts, and Year Two.

Dies Used: Lawn Fawn’s Say Cheese

Ink: VersaFine

I am trying to get a head start on my Christmas tags this year. I started with this set of 12. Six were done with an ombre effect. The other six were an excuse for me to practice my ink blending.

The ombre set. I used these ink colors

The color blending set. I also added water droplets to this set. I used three colors on each tag. Here are the colors I used.

Extra Details:  I started with a full sheet of water color paper. I stamped and white heat embossed snowflakes all over it. Once the embossing was cooled, I die cut the large piece of paper into twelve tags. I had a few small strips left over also; you may see them in some other tags later on. Then, I started ink blending. Lots and lots of ink blending. I added water drops to the multi colored tags. To finish the tags, I cut small strips and heat embossed a sentiment on them. I used gold or silver embossing powder. I tied the tags together with some silver raffia I had in my stash.

Merry Christmouse Card

December 13, 2015

When I updated my blog in February 2016, I lost all the posting I had already done. I am doing my best to put the posts back up but I do not remember all the details for each card.  Unfortunately, the details for this card may be a bit scarce.

This was one of the few Christmas cards I made this year. We typically send out a picture card of the kiddos. But with so many cute stamp sets, I did make a few cards also.

Size:  Horizontal top fold A2 card

Extra Details:  I started by laying out where I wanted the garland to go. Then, I stamped the stockings, masked those off and added the cheese. I stamped the garland next. I added the sentiment. I drew the rest of the scene after that. I colored everything in with colored pencils. Lastly, I added a few red gemstones for fun.

Stamps Used: Lawn Fawn’s Merry Christmouse, and Deck the Halls
